As something of a techno-novice I had put off transferring my website hosting and e-mail away from Verizon for years. I had this overwhelming fear that, not only would the website not make the transition smoothly, but that we’d find our e-mail incapacitated with messages heading off into the great abyss of the world wide web. That’s the kind of nightmare scenario that keeps most business owners awake at night. Because I had known Sami Mikhail for years on a social basis, I knew him to be a very honest, hardworking, sincere man. When he assured me he could make the transition smooth and easy, that he would be there as ‘tech support’ should our e-mail or site have ‘issues’ down the road, that we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, I decided to take a chance. The monetary savings, while significant, were just a small consideration when contrasted to the potential cost of having our e-mail and website go down even for a short while.
He did it! He moved the hosting and walked us through getting our PCs reconfigured to work with the new routing so we could get all our e-mails without delay. When in a DIY moment I attempted some minor tweaks to our site and got some things screwed up, he came to the rescue and got everything running smoothly again.
WooHoo! No more calling when the e-mail goes down and hoping I can get one of the foreign tech-support ‘specialists’ to tell me something other than they don’t know why we aren’t sending or receiving today. It’s Sami to the rescue.
